Welcome Back!

Hey, Civ fans! Welcome to This Month in Civ! It was quite an eventful November, so we're here with a recap of everything that happened, in case you missed it.

Update 1.3.0 is Here!

We've loved seeing players rule the seas following the rollout of Update 1.3.0! This update brought a wave of naval-themed additions and tweaks, including a new Unit, Building, combat updates, Ocean Resources and terrain types, and a change to how Treasure Convoys work. We also continued our strategic balance efforts, focusing specifically on sweeping changes to individual civs. 

On top of being another substantial rework of some of Civ VII's basics, this update sailed into the game alongside a boatload of nautical content, which you can read more about below and on the Tides of Power Collection page. Get the Tides of Power DLC FREE* until 2026!

The Tides of Power Collection is free to claim for all Civilization VII players through January 5, 2026!* The Edward Teach, Republic of Pirates, and Tonga content packs became free to claim on November 4, and now the Sayyida al Hurra, Ottomans, and Iceland packs will soon become part of the same offer when they're released in December! Content Collection 3: Tides of Power - Part Two in December! 

Add Sayyida al Hurra, Ottomans, and Iceland to your collection

Explore new possibilities for your personalized empire with post-launch add-on content of the Tides of Power DLC! In December, add leader Sayyida al Hurra and civs Ottomans and Iceland to your collection, joining the Edward Teach, Republic of Pirates, and Tonga packs that were released November 4.

Thanks for embracing the Firaxis Feature Workshop!

First, we'd like to thank players for their overwhelming positivity surrounding the newly announced Firaxis Feature Workshop, a new community-focused, collaborative space to gather early input directly from our community on in-development game features. This program invites a select number of dedicated fans to share their feedback earlier than ever, and while submissions for the player-interest form are now closed, there will be more chances to join in the future.

Whether or not you participate in this initiative, we'll keep listening to and ingesting community feedback from all sources. A significant number of the updates already made to Civ VII are results of players making their voices heard, and we want to ensure that all perspectives continue to be heard, both in and out of the Feature Workshop, while we refine our gameplay systems.

New Civ VII Steam Community Items and Points Shop items!

Spruce up your Steam presence with Sid Meier's Civilization VII's Steam Community Items and Points Shop items, available now!
