Sid Meier's Civilization Revolution 2
Release date: July 2014
Developed for mobile devices and later released for the PlayStation® Vita handheld, Sid Meier's Civilization Revolution 2 again challenges players to build a glorious empire that will stand the test of time. Expanding on the tactical depth of the first Civilization Revolution released six years earlier via the introduction of new units, technologies, buildings, and wonders.
Several of the 17 civilizations you can guide through history to the year 2100 have multiple leaders to choose from. Each leader has their own special abilities that offer unique bonuses as you progress through the Ancient, Medieval, Industrial, and Modern eras. For example, when leading America in the Industrial era, Lincoln receives additional food from plains tiles, while Kennedy gets bonus defense for his naval units.
Some leaders are better equipped to achieve certain victory conditions than others. There are four paths to victory in Civilization Revolution 2: capture the Capital cities of all rival civilizations, be the first civilization to send a spaceship to Alpha Centauri, build the World Bank after amassing 20,000 Gold, or build the United Nations after completing a total of 20 Cultural events.
Regardless of which leader you play as and which victory type you pursue, your quest to explore and discover involves scouring the globe for long-lost relics, engaging with rival civilizations, researching new technologies, battling barbarians, and much more.
