Hey, Civ fans! Welcome back to This Month in Civ, the first of 2026! With such a jam-packed year ahead of us, we're so excited to share more about our plans for Civ VII and to keep collaborating with our community every step of the way.

Civ VII comes to Apple Arcade on Feb 5!
Get ready to build empires on the go, Civ fans! In collaboration with Firaxis, the team at Behaviour Interactive have been hard at work leading development on Civilization VII Arcade Edition, coming to Apple Arcade on February 5*. To play this authentic base-game experience, you'll need an active Apple Arcade subscription and a compatible Apple device. To learn more, head to the Apple App Store or read our new Apple Arcade FAQs on the Civilization site!
*Civilization VII Arcade Edition does not support multiplayer at launch and will not receive Civilization VII DLC. Post-launch updates that apply to other platforms may be excluded or delayed. See FAQs for more information.
The Firaxis Feature Workshop & the future of Civ VII
With the Firaxis Feature Workshop's inaugural round concluded, we're excited to share more in the coming days about the mechanics being reworked and playtested, and how our learnings from the program fit into our longer-term plans. Expect new info about these developments soon. For now, as we sift through the feedback, we can't overstate our appreciation for the time, energy, and insights shared by every first-round participant.
